“Where We Come From” started as a celebration of Savvy’s dual heritage, tracing the line between his home in Huddersfield and his family’s roots in Carriacou, Grenada. But the track was released the very day Hurricane Beryl devastated the island in July 2024 — and everything changed. What began as a song became a short film, a transatlantic collaboration, and a record of a community facing loss, resilience and rebuilding.
